There is a new challenge taking over social media, one that honors the late Betty White and her love for animals.
White, who passed away weeks before her 100th birthday, was known for her dedication to animal advocacy.
Now, in honor of her upcoming birthday, the #bettywhitechallenge is encouraging fans across the world to donate $5 to animal shelters on Jan. 17.
According to Bloomberg, White served as a board member of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association and trustee of the Morris Animal Foundation since the ’70s.
“Her work with [the zoo] spans more than five decades, and we are grateful for her enduring friendship, lifelong advocacy for animals, and tireless dedication to supporting our mission,” Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association president Tom Jacobson told NY Post.
