Betty V. Wright, 80, of Forney, formerly of Paris, passed away Wednesday, August 01, 2018, at Three Forks Senior Living in Forney.

The family will receive friends at Bright-Holland Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 3rd, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Services will follow at the Evergreen Chapel at 1:30 p.m. with her brother, Danny Knight officiating.

Mrs. Wright, the daughter of Bud & Ethel Hall Knight, was born July 17, 1938, in Paris.

She attended school in Wichita Falls. While she and her husband lived in Paris she was a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher for the Paris Independent School District and the Chisum School District. Betty was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

On June 25, 1956, she married William H. “Bill” Wright, building fifty-three years of family and memories before his death on Oct. 24, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandchild, Sloane Rodrigue.

Survivors include two daughters; Rebecca “Becky” Rhodes & husband Kyle of Rockwall and Beth Spinks & husband Allen of Heartland, grandchildren; Billy Rhodes, Casey Rhodes, Laura Rodrigue & husband Matt, and Allycen Kent & husband Dustin, great-grandchildren; Sylas Kent, Liam Rodrigue, Gehrig Kent, Sadie Kent and Magnolia Rodrigue, a sister, Kathy Hall & husband Jim, and a brother, Danny Knight & wife Lyne along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations, in memory of Mrs. Wright be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or 1-800-272-3900.
