Betty Joyce Cockrum, 83, of Detroit, Texas went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. She was born in Bonham, Texas to Edward Sadler and Arnetta Rodgers on March 19, 1935. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Bill Skidmore and Charles Cockrum, her daddy and mother and one granddaughter Larissa Lynn Spray, son-in-law Benny Spray.
Betty cooked several years at Blossom High School and for the Townes Family.
She enjoyed being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty was a member of Blossom Methodist Church where she was involved with U.M.W.
She is survived by her children Billy Jack Skidmore and Mary Spray of Detroit: grandchildren Bubba Spray and wife Michelle of Bonnerdale, Arkansas and Tommy Spray of Detroit. Great Grandchildren: Jill Davis and husband Andrew of Royal, Arkansas. Ella, Gracie and Tate Spray of Bonnerdale, Arkansas.
Two great- great grandchildren: Garner and Rylee Davis of Royal, Arkansas.
Two sisters: Jane Binnion and husband Randy of Pattonville and Brenda Reddell and husband John of Blossom.
Visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday, June 29, 2018, at the Fry Gibbs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Fry Gibbs Funeral Home with Susan Leddy officiating.
Pallbearers include Button Cooper, Dinger Jaynes, Michael Spray, Robert Bridges, Jimmy Walker, David Hart, David Carpenter, and Tracy Williams.
