Arnol Alvin Duncan, 86, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Abby Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Duncan, the son of Alvin Duncan and Ruby Ione Shepperd Duncan, was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Brownfield, TX.
He served in the United States Air Force, spending time in Greenland. Upon his honorable discharge, he began working for the U. S. Postal Service where he remained until retirement.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Roxton where he enjoyed working in the food pantry.
Arnol was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sharon Duncan, a daughter, Tami Slagle, and two siblings, Alvone Stocking and Lin Duncan. Survivors include two grandsons, Taylor Slagle and wife Tristin and Tanner Slagle and wife Kati, four great grandchildren, Timber Slagle, Tatum Slagle, Brighton Slagle, and Lettie Slagle, his son-in-law, Terry Slagle, and a brother, Terry Duncan and wife Liz along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Hillary White, Platinum Home Health, and Colonial Lodge for the care given their loved one.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Roxton Volunteer Fire Department or the First United Methodist Church of Roxton.
