The Animal Protection League plans to be in Paris on Friday, Sept. 2, in Atwoods’ parking lot, 2445 N. Main St., offering low-cost vaccines and spay/neutering.
- Canine neuter, 0-80 pounds – $70
- Canine spay, 0-80 pounds – $75
- Feline neuter – $40
- Feline spay – $50
- Your pet can be microchipped at the time of their surgery for $30. This fee includes a lifetime registration fee.

Surgery fees include a pain injection, an antibiotic injection and all dogs go home wearing an e-collar.
Vaccinations are on a walk-in basis and given between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., whereas the surgery is by appointment only. For more information, or to schedule a spay/neuter appointment, call 903-439-2953 or 903-753-7387.
“If you have concerns about your pet’s health or ability to survive the surgery, we suggest you take your pet to your local private practice veterinarian for blood work and health evaluation.”
Animal Protection League has seven licensed veterinarians on staff, and their mobile units are modern, stainless steel surgery suites. Dogs are required to be on leashes, while cats are required to be in carriers.
For surgeries, pets’ check-in is at 9 a.m. the morning of their appointment, and food and water must be withheld after midnight ht night before surgery. APL asks for those bringing a pet for surgery to download its questionnaire/release (here) form and bring with the pet – one form per pet. Check out for pets is at 3 p.m. for mobile units.
