Paris Junior College men’s soccer has reached a new milestone, earning the first national ranking in program history as the Dragons came in at No. 15 in the latest NJCAA Division I Men’s Soccer national poll.
The Paris Junior College men’s soccer program has made history.
The Dragons earned the program’s first-ever NJCAA national ranking, coming in at No. 15 in the Oct. 5 NJCAA Division I Men’s Soccer poll after putting together a 7-2-3 record through the first 12 matches of the season.
The historic ranking comes as PJC enters the home stretch of the regular season and represents another step forward for a program that has established itself as one of the nation’s most productive offensive teams in 2026.
Through 12 matches, the Dragons have scored 41 goals, averaging more than three goals per contest. The production has come from a balanced attack, with multiple players emerging as consistent scoring threats.
Freshman Keane Cobuzio leads PJC with 10 goals and two assists, while sophomore Jovan Moreno has recorded eight goals and five assists. Paulo Diaz has added another seven goals and three assists.
Sophomore Kyrylo Peregudov has been at the center of much of the Dragons’ offensive creation. Peregudov leads the region and ranks second nationally with 10 assists, helping fuel a PJC attack that has consistently created scoring opportunities throughout the season.
While the offensive numbers have helped propel the Dragons into the national spotlight, PJC has also shown the ability to control matches on the defensive end. The Dragons have recorded four shutouts through 12 matches, giving the team a balance that has allowed it to impact matches on both sides of the pitch.
With a 7-2-3 record and its first national ranking now secured, PJC enters the final stretch of the regular season with an opportunity to continue building on what has already become a historic year for Dragons soccer.
The No. 15 ranking marks the highest national ranking in program history and the first time Paris Junior College men’s soccer has appeared in the NJCAA Division I national poll.
Keep all of that the same and somewhere toward the end mention that the Dragon’s have clinched as a host site in the first round of the postseason and will await the results of the final two weeks of the season to know who we will host.
