The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to stop using Pvauert infant walkers immediately because they violate the mandatory safety standard for infant walkers, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fall hazard. The infant walkers can fit through a standard doorway and fail to stop at the edge of a step.
CPSC is aware of six incidents, with three resulting in head injuries.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using the infant walkers immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous infant walkers.
CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the retailer, Dongguanshilingyuanguojimaoyiyouxiangongsi, doing business as Pvauert US, of China. The firm has not agreed to recall these infant walkers nor offer a remedy to consumers.
The Pvauert-branded infant walkers are foldable, have nine adjustable height settings, and were sold in black, green, pink and white. They have a tray, round base and six-wheel assemblies. “Product Name: Infant baby walker” and “Model Number: CT02” are printed on a label on the seat’s underside.
