The Paris City Council and City Manager are inviting Paris residents to attend small group meetings planned in each district.
The purpose is to share some important information about the next city budget, including budget history, current challenges, and opportunities to move Paris forward.
The meetings are set in August and September and will have limited reserved seating to allow for a conversational atmosphere.
A citywide presentation is also scheduled at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18, at the Weger Auditorium, 2400 Jefferson Road.
Residents are encouraged to attend a meeting in their council district to visit with their elected representative and city staff.
To enable as many as possible to attend a meeting, each resident is asked to attend only one small group meeting.
A webpage with the current meeting schedule, an invitation request form, a map of council districts, and a list of council members is available at www.ParisTexas.gov/BudgetTalks.
Invitations to the meetings will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone needing assistance submitting an invitation request can visit the Paris Public Library at 326 S. Main Street.
