The first-ever Fajita Cook-Off at Lake Crook is set for June 20, bringing teams, food and live music together for a full day of competition and entertainment.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ahead of a live concert featuring William Clark Green.
Cook-off teams will compete by preparing beef fajitas and specialty fixings in hopes of impressing judges and earning top honors. Organizers said the competition is expected to feature a variety of recipes and flavors as teams battle for the title of best fajitas.
In addition to the main contest, the event will also include a Jackpot category for guacamole and hot sauce.
The entry fee for teams is $75, with 80% payback awarded to the top three teams. The Jackpot category entry fee is $25, with 100% payback going to the winner.
