SkillsUSA competitions showcase students’ abilities in real-world career and technical fields, allowing them to demonstrate the hands-on skills they have developed in the classroom.
In addition to student success, the North Lamar community is also celebrating one of its alumni. Rusty Brown, a former North Lamar student and SkillsUSA member, has been selected to coach WorldSkills for Automotive Service. The team will compete in events across the United States, Canada, and Australia, culminating in the final international competition in Shanghai, China.
North Lamar High School’s Career and Technical Education programs continue to prepare students with the knowledge, certifications, and real-world experience needed for future careers. The district congratulates these students for their outstanding achievements and wishes them the best as they represent North Lamar at the State SkillsUSA competition.
