On Jan. 29, Officers responded to the Adult Probation Offices where they were advised that Johnny Edward Diehl (27) was on scene. Diehl was wanted on outstanding warrants for Probation Violation and Sex Offender Registration Violation, a Felony. Diehl was taken into custody without incident, booked and taken to Lamar County jail.
On Jan. 29, Officers were called to the 2900 block of Clarksville St in regards to a Burglary of Habitation. Upon arrival they met a complainant who advised a subject was asleep in an apartment that was supposed to be vacant. Officers entered and located Joseph Tyler Higgins (36) sleeping in a bedroom. Officers noted narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia in plain view in the room. Officers awakened Higgins and identified him. Higgins was found to have outstanding warrants for both misdemeanor charges and felony narcotics charges from various agencies. He was arrested on those warrants as well as the on view charges including two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Higgins was booked and placed in jail.
On Jan. 29, an officer with the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force was conducting a vehicle inspection when he was presented with a 53 foot van trailer for inspection. Upon inspection it was discovered that the trailer had been reported stolen to Dallas Police Department in 2012. The trailer was seized pending further investigation.
Officers made 15 traffic stops, 2 adult arrest, and answered 99 calls for service during this reporting period.
