On Saturday, January 10th, Northeast Texas ATTF Detectives assisted the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office in locating a suspect involved in a school burglary. The suspect was believed to be driving a stolen vehicle with an unknown license plate.
Working alongside Paris Patrol Officers, the detectives were able to identify and locate the vehicle. Upon stopping the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, authorities found the known suspect inside, along with property stolen from the McCurtain County school. Investigators also confirmed that the vehicle itself had been reported stolen out of McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
The suspect was arrested by task force detectives, and the stolen property was returned to the school in coordination with the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office.
“This case is a great example of agencies from different states working together to recover stolen property and apprehend suspects,” officials said.
