On Oct. 31, An officer performed a traffic stop in the 3600 block of SW Loop 286 for a speeding violation. Contact was made with the driver, Lane Anthony Thieme (20) of Forney Texas. Thieme was found to be in possession of a vape pen as well as open alcoholic beverages. Investigation established that he was intoxicated. Thieme was arrested for DWI. The passenger in the vehicle, Justin Wade Belcher (19) of Terrell Texas was also arrested after investigation revealed him to be in possession of over four ounces of marijuana as well as THC vapes. Belcher was charged with Possession of marijuana, over four ounces, a State Jail Felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both were processed without incident and booked.
On Nov. 1, Officers working a motor vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Clarksville St came into contact with Danny Joe Glossup (59) of Paris. Glossup was confirmed to be one of the drivers. By Glossup’s physical conditions it was discovered that he was intoxicated. He was taken to a medical facility for a warrant based blood draw and then transported to the police department. A criminal history on Glossup revealed two prior convictions for Driving While Intoxicated in Lamar County enhancing the charge to DWI with two prior convictions, a Felony. Glossup was booked and transported to county jail.
On Oct. 31, Officers responded to the Probation Office and arrested Christian Michael Hudiburg (20) on four outstanding warrants from the City of Bedford Texas. Hudiburg had two warrants for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and two for Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact. He was booked and taken to Lamar County Jail.
On Oct. 31, Officers arrested Tabitha Deanne Lacheney (50) of Paris for an outstanding Parole Warrant. He was processed without issue.
On Oct. 31, Officers responded to a theft in the 200 block of N Main they met with the owner who presented video of a suspect stealing an alcoholic beverage from the store. Store personnel confronted the suspect but the suspect denied the theft and left the scene. Through investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect and also to learn that the suspect had multiple previous convictions for theft. The case will be forwarded to the Lamar County Attorney with request for a felony warrant.
Officers made 67 traffic stops, 9 adult arrest, and answered 304 calls for service during this reporting period.
