Paris Independent School District is proud to announce that Lisa Thompson, Pre-K teacher at T.G. Givens Early Childhood Center, has been selected by the community as the September Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) Teacher of the Month.
This recognition program, sponsored by CUTX, gives community members the opportunity to nominate and celebrate Paris ISD teachers who go above and beyond for their students. Each month, one teacher is selected based on community nominations and receives a $500 award from CUTX.
In addition to the CUTX award, The Chiropractic Associates/The Rub Club has partnered with Paris ISD to honor each Teacher of the Month with a complimentary one-hour massage.
“We’re excited to bring this program to Paris ISD and join the entire Paris community in recognizing hardworking teachers,” said Zach Saffle, CUTX Community Engagement Officer. “Since we opened our branch in Paris last year, we’ve worked closely with Paris ISD and seen firsthand the positive impact these teachers can have on the future success of their students and ultimately, the future of the community. For their tireless work each day, we look forward to celebrating them.”
Paris ISD extends its appreciation to the Credit Union of Texas and The Chiropractic Associates/The Rub Club for their continued support of educators and for helping celebrate the dedication of teachers like Lisa Thompson.
