On Sept. 26, Investigators are investigating the theft of a large amount of metals from an abandoned building in the 800 block of Clarksville. Suspects have been entering the property and taking the fixtures, both brass and copper for some time. Some arrest have been made during incidents but the thefts continue. Officers continue to investigate and more arrest are expected.
On Sept. 28, Officers responded to a family disturbance in the 800 block of SE 20th. Upon arrival they met the victim who advised that she had been assaulted by Glen Edward Wilburn (49). The victim advised that Wilburn had become violent after drinking while out with friends. The victim had audio recording of the incident. The victim advised that Wilburn had thrown items around the kitchen and had choked her with his hands and had struck her. There were marks indicative of being choked on the victim’s throat. The victim also advised that Wilburn had shoved her against the refrigerator and held her there during the incident. Wilburn was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault of a Family Member or Household by Choking. He was booked without incident.
On Sept. 28, Officers responded to the 600 block of SW 7th in regards to a Burglary of Residence. The victim advised she was home when she heard a loud crash. The victim walked to the back door of her home and observed that an older white male had kicked in her back door. The male left when observed by the victim and left pushing a shopping cart and leading a brown Pit Bull dog. Officers attempted to locate the suspect but could not. Evidence was gathered at the scene. The victim stated that she has had numerous items stolen in the recent past and believes it may be the same suspect. The investigation will continue.
Officers made 31 traffic stops, 7 adult arrest, and answered 297 calls for service during this reporting period.
