The Eastern sky could light up for 5-10 minutes with a fireball and possible sonic boom later tonight as SpaceX’s capsule reenters the atmosphere at about 9:30 p.m., weather permitting.
“If everything goes as planned,” Naval Construction Battalion Center shared, “there are many factors that could shift the landing and flight path.”
The intended target for splashdown is estimated as west as Pensacola and as Far East as 300 miles off of the Florida coast.
SpaceX’s next crew will launch four Crew-3 astronauts to the station on Nov. 10, and liftoff is set for no earlier than 10:03 p.m.
