Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up – James 4:10
“JUST PRAY” is the theme for See You at the Pole this year, which is being held on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 7 a.m. locally.
See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.
Each year, students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.
“Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet,” said the organization online.
Locally, students from Chisum ISD, North Lamar ISD, Paris ISD and Prairiland ISD will be participating in the annual event and all are invited to attend. Students will begin to gather shortly before 7 a.m. at the flagpole at each school.
