Shonda Lynn Anderson was born Sept. 8, 1974, and went home Sept. 15, 2026.
She was the beloved daughter of Kathy and the late Danny Anderson.
Shonda attended Prairiland School all her school years. She excelled at all sports she played and made many friendships. She was homecoming queen her senior year and went on to college where she played golf.
A cherished daughter, parent, grandparent, and loyal friend. Sonda brought worth and comfort to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Shonda loved being with family and going to concerts. Later in life, her greatest joy and most valued time was spent with her four grandsons. She loved being a Grammy most of all.
Shonda is survived by her two daughters, Alaka Walters and Marley Walters, her mother, Kathy Grigsby, her grandkids, De’Untre Gray, Asher Vogt, Dalyn Walters, and Karter Lou Julian.
She is preceded in death by her father, Danny Anderson, and grandparents, Lucy & Harley Staley and Melba Bestul.
Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19th at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ with Bro. Jared Baggett officiating. Burial will be made in Highland Cemetery at Deport. The family will receive friends at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Friday from 7 – 8 p.m.
