Naomi Ruth Miller, 85, of Paris, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at the home of her daughter in Santa Barbara, CA.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Wade White officiating, followed by a reception at the funeral home. All are invited. The funeral procession to Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK will depart at 12:30 p.m.
Mrs. Miller, the daughter of William Carlos Berryhill & Molly Sue Dunn Berryhill, was born April 19, 1936, in McAlester, OK.
On June 30, 1952, she married Billy Ray “Bill” Miller, building 57 years of family and memories before his death on Aug. 12, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, B. K. Miller, three brothers, Bob Berryhill, Jim Berryhill and Shorty Berryhill, a sister, Monnie B. Clark, and a nephew, Gary Berryhill.
Ruth and Bill owned and operated Handy Spot Convenience Store on Pine Mill Road and the College Car Wash for a number of years.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Jumper & husband Stan, grandchildren, Hunter Jumper and Derrick Jumper & wife Katherine, great grandchildren, Sawyer Jumper, Harrison Jumper, Brooks Jumper, and Olivia Jumper, four siblings, Sue Wilkins, Mary Prater, Clyde Berryhill & wife Francis, and Ray Berryhill, and a sister-in-law, Wilma Berryhill along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
She was assisted and cared for by nieces Claudia Pursifull, Melissa Berryhill, and Norma Miller along with hospice, and the family has unending gratitude for their help.
