Paris Police were advised of a motor vehicle accident in the 3200 block of Bonham St at 5:21 P.M. on June 25, 2021. Officers made contact with the driver, a 27 year old female, who was acting very erratic. The female was transported to PRMC for several non-life threatening injuries. During the investigation, it was found that the female had stolen the vehicle from the 2600 block of Bonham St. The incidents are under investigation.
At 8:29 A.M. on June 26, 2021, Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of SW 7th St for a defective brake light. The driver, 35 year old Kendra Denise Lindsey, of Hugo, Oklahoma, was found to have two outstanding Municipal Court warrants. During the arrest, Lindsey was observed throwing an object towards the back of the vehicle. The item was
retrieved and found to contain cocaine. Lindsey was charged with possession of a controlled substance of more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams, and tampering with physical evidence. Lindsey was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to the 300 block of Pine Bluff St at 5:18 P.M. on June 26, 2021 in reference to a welfare concern. Officers located Richard Dee Perry, 49, of Paris, and found him to be intoxicated from an unknown substance. Perry was found to have an outstanding felony Lamar County warrant that originated from a felony assault case. Perry was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County jail.
Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of SE 8th St at 12:02 A.M. on June 28, 2021 for a defective tail light. During the stop, two passengers were found to have outstanding Municipal Court warrants. K-9 Cupa was utilized and alerted to narcotics possibly being in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, officers located methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana. The driver, 30 year old Vadim Victor Lukas, of Paris, admitted that the narcotics were his. Lukas was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Lukas was later transferred to the Lamar County jail.
Paris Police responded to 227 calls for service and arrested 10 persons over the weekend ending at midnight on June 27, 2021.
