Police still need assistance in identifying a suspect who stole an ambulance Sunday night.
According to Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park, the patient medics responded to “did not survive while being taken by a family member to a Paris, Tx, hospital … Our prayers are with the family.”
While medics were responding to a 9-1-1 call, treating a Soper man in his home at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, a man jumped in the ambulance and headed south of Soper. The ambulance was found abandoned with medicine and supplies were taken.
Park said the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is working on the case, and for anyone with information to call OSBI or Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, 580-326-2130.
