A Texas state representative filed a bill that, if passed, would allow liquor sales on Sundays. Currently, the state law forbids the sale on Sunday.
HB 937, introduced by Texas Representative Richard Raymond, would amend the already enacted legislation on liquor sales, allowing the sale on Sundays, Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year’s days. Liquor sales are not allowed on these days, currently.
If passed through the legislature, it would become law as of Sept. 1, 2021.
