North Lamar’s Sandra Bramhall has been recognized as the school bus driver of the month for January. Bramhall is a fourth and fifth-grade RTI reading teacher at Bailey Intermediate. She has been driving a bus at North Lamar since her son, Kyler, was a senior in 2011.
“I first started driving to earn extra money for when Kyler was in college,” said Bramhall. “Now I just like to have the extra money.” Today she drives a special transportation route and says it’s the best in the District.
Each month a driver is recognized and presented a certificate from NL Director of Transportation Clint Hildreth. In addition, Burgerland sponsors a free hamburger meal for the employee.
School bus drivers are in high demand across the state. For information on becoming a driver for North Lamar, call Hildreth at 903.737.2003 x 2023.
