Mrs. Stewart’s 2nd-grade class at North Lamar Intermediate brought science to life by using cup phones to explore the concept of sound waves.
As part of their lesson, students created simple communication devices using cups and string, then tested how sound travels through vibrations. Laughter and excitement filled the classroom as students discovered how their voices could travel across the room—without electronics!
This hands-on experiment made learning both memorable and fun, helping students understand how sound moves and how vibrations create the sounds we hear.
