North Lamar High School junior Merideth Puckett, left, and senior Symphony Hill competed over the weekend at the State Beta Convention.
Puckett place first in the Performing Arts Solo, Duo and Trio Competition singing House of the Rising Sun by The Animals.
Hill placed third in the Division 2 Math Competition. Puckett will represent North Lamar at the National Beta Convention June 15‐18 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
