Just a few days before turning four years old, the the funny and outgoing Tobias John Gonzales was diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on June 20, and celebrated his fourth birthday on the 26th in the hospital where he began chemo treatment.
Kids Clinic of Paris is hosting a fundraiser at Tractor Supply Co. on Saturday to help Tobi and his family with the cost of food, gas, housing and other expenses that may occur as he begins treatment, and 100 percent of the money raised will go directly to his family.
“Tobi is my wild child who was always on the go, who’s also so funny, outgoing and a joy to be around,” said Jacquelynn Jensen, Tobi’s mother. “He is all boy – from wanting to be outside to loving trains, big trucks and nerf guns. You would never catch him without a smile or running around 90-to-nothing. He’s known by everyone for his cowboy boots! They always make people smile seeing him running around in them.”
TOBI TACKLES CANCER FUNDRAISER will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tractor Supply Co., 2035 Spur 139, where there will be hotdogs, chips, drinks and baked goods available for donation. For those unable to make it to the fundraiser, or if a business wants to donate money, checks made out to TOBI TACKLES CANCER FUNDRAISER can be dropped off at Kids Clinic of Paris (345 Stone Ave.) or Guaranty Bank & Trust.
“Without the amazing staff at kids clinic we wouldn’t have find out his diagnosis so quickly,” Jensen said. “I’m so very thankful for everything Jana Mobley and Traci Craig has done for our family.”
