After weeks of anticipation, McDonald’s officially confirms the return of its Halloween Happy Meal and shares unique ways fans can reuse their collectible pail this fall and beyond
It’s official — McDonald’s is bringing back the most iconic Halloween trio — McBoo, McPunk’n and McGoblin — that first came on the scene in 1986.
The fast-food chain announced on Twitter Thursday, “Guess who’s coming back,” along with a GIF of three buckets — pumpkin orange, slime green and ghostly white.
Back in 1986, McDonald’s started offering its Happy Meal kids meal in the Halloween-themed buckets, which can double as a kid’s trick-or-treat pail.
Unlike past years, this year there is a notable difference with the lids — each is raised a little with a witch’s hat for McGoblin, a pumpkin top for McPunk’n, and what appears to be a raised white pumpkin top for McBoo.
The nostalgic Happy Meal is returning to participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide from Oct. 18 – 31, while supplies last.
