A Wolfe City Police Officer has been placed on administrative leave as Texas Rangers investigate an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead Saturday night.

According to reports, a 9-1-1 call for a large disturbance at the Kwik Chek in Wolfe City came in around 8:25 p.m. Wolfe City Police Department and Hunt County Sheriffs Office responded to the call and shortly after “shots fired” was broadcast across the radio.

Little information regarding the incident has been released at this time, however, the City of Wolfe City issued a statement Sunday morning via Facebook page.
