Republican nominee for Texas Agriculture Commissioner Nate Sheets will make a campaign stop in Paris on Friday, Oct. 2, as part of his statewide “Texans Should Feed Texans” bus tour.
Sheets is scheduled to appear at the Paris Church of God Fellowship Hall, located at 1400 Bonham Street, from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.
The Paris visit is part of a statewide tour launching Oct. 2 that is scheduled to include 96 stops across rural Texas over 32 days.
“Nate Sheets is hitting the road and connecting with Texans who care about clean food, strong values, and smart agriculture policy. Whether it’s a town hall, a farm tour, or a grassroots rally — we want you there,” the campaign states on its website.
His “Texans Should Feed Texans” platform focuses on increasing opportunities for Texas-grown and Texas-processed food, including expanding local processing capacity and connecting Texas producers with Texas markets.
Sheets is the Republican nominee for Texas Agriculture Commissioner in the Nov. 3 general election.
