Terry Brian Reed, 56, of Paris, Texas and also long resident of Clarksville, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at his home after a long battle with kidney disease.
He proudly served in state, county and local law enforcement for 28 years, including his service as Red River County Sheriff. He also worked with Texas Child Protective Services for 2 years. Terry took great pride in his work in law enforcement. He loved being able to help the people he served, especially during times of crisis.
Terry fiercely loved his family and friends. He loved being with his people laughing, sharing stories, watching sporting events, hunting, fishing, sharing meals and just having fun with them. He was a proud husband, son, big brother, uncle, step-dad and grandpa. He loved being able to share life with them and took great pride in every accomplishment. His greatest love was his baby girl Madison. If you knew Terry, you knew how much he loved his girl and what a special bond they had. Most importantly, he loved Jesus Christ.
Terry is survived by his wife, Rhonda Reed, daughter Madison Reed, his father Jimmy Reed and wife Sandra, brother Mike Reed and his wife Amanda and their children Garett, Gavin and Rylee. He is also survived by his stepdaughters Kandace Davidson, Kaci and husband Justin Ratliff, Keleigh and husband Broderick Franklin, and grandchildren Londyn, Laken, Kyndal, Legend, Raelyn, and Memphis, along with a host of extended family and friends including Justin and Susan Krajenka and special friends Tim Shimpock and Jesse Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Fran (Peek) Reed, grandparents Vernon W. and Addie Reed, Willie and Ruby Lee Peek, and uncles Gerald Reed and Wayne Reed.
