Talco Independence Day Fireworks Show will be held on July 4, 2024, with the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall arriving July 3 and on display until July 7.
Over 35-years ago, a small group of firefighters and Talco citizens came together to buy fireworks for their children. The event has now grown into one of the largest shows in Texas.
The family-friendly event is free to the public with hotdogs, cotton candy, watermelon, peaches, water and numerous giveaways all being given free.
The Moving Wall is a way to honor and respect those Veterans that made the ultimate sacrifice. This half-size replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. has been touring the country for nearly forty years to educate the public and show solemn remembrance and respect to Vietnam Veterans and their family members.
The Moving Wall site maintains a dignified environment and respectful atmosphere for those attending, so that they may find healing and peace.
The Moving Wall will be in the northeast corner of the Talco Community Park near the intersection of N 4th Street and Life Street.
Parking is available just north of the Moving Wall in the Talco Cemetery.
