Along with celebrating the kickoff of Texas Public Schools Week, North Lamar ISD welcomed Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams on his first day at the District.

Adams spent much of Monday touring campuses with the principals, occasionally popping his head into a classroom to introduce himself to teachers and students, and getting a chuckle from younger students asking if he was the president of North Lamar.

The Lamar County community will have an opportunity to meet Adams, his wife Crystal, and son Kolby at a welcome reception on Friday, March 23 from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. in the NL High School library.

“We think this will be a good time,” said NL Board President Stephen ‘Red’ Holmes.  “North Lamar will be hosting Paris in softball and baseball beginning at 6:00 p.m. that night.

Please come by and meet Dr. Adams and his family, enjoy some appetizers, and help welcome this family to our community and to North Lamar.”

All are encouraged to attend.
