Students at T. G. Givens Early Childhood Center took part in an exciting, outdoor learning experience provided by Southwest Dairy Museum, Inc., a non-profit educational program funded by dairymen across the Southwest.
Through its mobile dairy classroom, the museum introduces students to the dairy industry by providing an outdoor classroom experience that incorporates math, science, nutritional health, and agriculture.
Mobile Dairy Classroom instructor, Aaron Sanders, led the students in a presentation that included a tour of the traveling milking parlor that housed an actual cow, a milking demonstration, and the importance of dairy for good health. Sanders concluded his presentation with a question and answer session.
