A Cornhole Tournament, alongside a brisket and silent auction fundraiser to benefit Tobias John Gonzales is set for Saturday morning from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Just a few days before turning four years old, the the funny and outgoing Gonzales was diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on June 20, and celebrated his fourth birthday on June 26th in the hospital where he began chemo treatment.
“Tobi is my wild child who was always on the go, who’s also so funny, outgoing and a joy to be around,” said Jacquelynn Jensen, Tobi’s mother. “He is all boy – from wanting to be outside to loving trains, big trucks and nerf guns. You would never catch him without a smile or running around 90-to-nothing. He’s known by everyone for his cowboy boots! They always make people smile seeing him running around in them.”
During the fundraiser, there will be bracelets for sale, live music and karaoke at Heritage Hall, 1009 W. Kaufman Street. Brisket plates will be available at $10.
