Sarah Eloyce Lola Atkins Davis, daughter of the late J.C. and Ella Atkins, was born March 9, 1933 at home in Ranger, TX. Sarah passed on April 19, 2021, in Cleburne, TX after a brief illness. All four of her sons were with her hours before her passing and showered her with love as she had done to them for so many years.
She is survived by four sons: John and Shari Davis, Joe and Lacinda Davis, Cal and Stephanie Davis, and Ray and Maggie Davis, her brother, Edward Atkins, and sister, Evelyn Wiggins, as well as 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
She professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. Her parents were pastors and on July 21, 1951, she married J.W. Davis, a pastor. They began a lifelong ministry that led many souls into the Kingdom of God.
A private grave-side service will occur on April 22, 2021 in Detroit, TX where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved J.W. A celebration of her life will occur on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Turning Point Church, 3122 Hwy 82 West, New Boston, TX for friends and the community.
