Roy Tom Stone, surrounded by his loving family, was called to his heavenly home on December 21, 2023.
Roy Tom was born in Paris, Texas, on May 5, 1949, to Frank and Alva Stone. He grew up and lived in Paris where he dedicated over 40 years of love and service to countless students he taught, coached, and mentored as his own.
Roy Tom was married to and survived by the love of his life, Leanne, and their daughters Taylor Stone and Ali (Ricky) Danley; his son Cade (Brandi) Stone; daughter Tosha Blackledge; grandchildren Daniel Blackledge, Arden (Jacob) Roberts, Holden Stone, Brynnlie Danley, Kynnedy Danley; and an abundance of friends he called family.
Roy Tom touched and inspired everyone he knew. He was passionate about his faith, family, and the Cowboys. He lived everyday with an actionable love that left impressions on all who were blessed to call him family, friend, and brother in Christ. “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” 1 John 3:18.

Funeral services will be conducted at First United Methodist Church, 322 Lamar Ave., Paris, Texas 75460 at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2023. Rev. Bill Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowbrook Cemetery with Tommy Felty, Rickey Butler, Tom Pursifull, Fred Nutt, Randy Woodard, Freddy Daughtrey, Shag Laprade and Billy Mac Steed serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Weddle, Bruce Staples, Jim Davis and Jack Winfrey. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at First United Methodist Church.
