Roy Dean Pate was born March 5, 1938, in Clarksville, Texas, to parents Jesse Ray and Ruby Pate.
He worked as a truck driver for Merico for over 25 years. He used his life to bring joy to others. Roy enjoyed playing guitar and singing the classic country songs for the residents in many surrounding area nursing homes. They loved him!, and he loved making them happy.
Roy is survived by his wife, Ruby Jean Pate; son, Roy Dwayne; daughter, Lisa; sisters, Mildred, Patricia Ann, and Glenda; brothers, Nolan and Roger; as well as several nieces and nephews and friends.
