On November 22, 2025 Rhonda Jean Sparks Forbis left her earthly body behind and entered into the presence of her Savior and the loved ones who have gone on before.
Rhonda was born on July 3, 1952 in Paris, Texas to Gene and Joyce Hines Sparks. She lived most of her childhood and school-aged years in Arthur City and attended Chicota schools. Rhonda as a fabulous cook and hones her craft for over 15 years at Lance’s Sunriser in Paris where she made many lifelong friends.
Rhonda was intelligent well beyond her education. She could talk to anyone about anything at any time. She never met a stranger. If you met her, you never forgot her.
Rhonda leaves behind 5 children, Tina Dollins Wright and husband James, Tammy Dollins, Dale Conrad and wife Tieya, Amy Conrad Ramos and husband Alberto, and Lea Conrad Martinez and J.J. She was known as “Sweetie” to her 16 grandchildren, Jace Wright, Ethan Haley, Evan Haley, Peyton Brown, Michael Loehr, Mariah Cole, Mathew Loehr, Eli McEntyre, Gabriel McEntyre, Randa Conrad, Mara McEntyre, A.J. Ramos, Angelica Edd, Arika Boulware, Zachary Conrad and Mideya Martinez; along with 19 great-grandchildren. Rhonda also leaves behind her sisters, Suzette Rosson and husband Jimmy, Lynette Johnson and husband Carl; nephews, Joshua Rosson, Jordan Rosson and Courtney Johnson; niece, Carly Pence; aunt, LaTresa Colbert and husband Ed; uncles, Don Barlow, Wayne Sparks and Jerry Sparks; along with numerous cousins.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. It was Rhonda’s wish that there be no formal services at this time. There will be a memorial service to honor Rhonda’s life on December 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Forest Chapel Cemetery Pavilion.
