Rev. Mitchell Bethea White Sr., 75, of Paris, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by the love and presence of his family.
Rev. White was Born on January 23, 1950, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Vardeman Nathan White and Minnie Arlene Graham White, Mitchell’s life was marked by unwavering faith, service, and a deep commitment to his calling.
A devoted pastor, Rev. White spent his life preaching the Word of God and guiding others with compassion, wisdom, and humility. His ministry touched countless lives and his legacy of faith continues through all who had the blessing of knowing him.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Jeanette of 35 years. His children: Mitchell White Jr. Brandy White, Wil White, Brayden White, Tina McCoin, John McCoin, and Lisa Langehennig.
He was a proud grandfather to Nathan Yoder, Easton White, Emalee White, Erin White, Destiny Patrick, Lane White, Hunter Black, Cameron White, Elizabeth Langehennig, Shelby Langehennig, Ashley Langehennig, Abigail McCoin, Tarynce Mccoin, Timothy White, Maximus White, and Melany White. He was blessed with ten great-grandchildren, River, Addalynn, Walker, Truett, Aspen, Remi, Willa’Kate, Sawyer, Audrey, and Anzleigh, who brought him great joy.
Rev. White is preceded in death by his parents, a beloved daughter Cassandra White; and his brother Thomas White. He is survived by his brothers, Dr. Rev. Robert White, Bill White, and Melvin White and many nieces and nephews.
Mitchell will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and the deep love he had for his family. His was a life lived in service—to his God.
He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Evers and Rev. Ray Evers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be made in Kanawha Cemetery in Red River County, TX.
