On Saturday evening, a multi-department drug sting at Hughes Laundry, located at 16th and Kirk St in Hugo, Oklahoma, resulted in the arrest of six people.

“Tonight Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office and Hugo PD conducted a stong operation at Hughes Laundromat,” said Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park on Sunday afternoon.

According to Park, the six people were arrested on drug charges and various other offenses.

“The owner and a female were booked in,” said Park, “the others were interviewed and released on misdemeanors.”

Owner of Hughes Laundry Mat, Jewel Hughes, is being held at the Choctaw County Jail on pending drug-related charges.

Assisting the department in the operation were a State Game Warden and Choctaw Nation Tribal Police.
