Red River Valley Homeless Coalition will be conducting our annual Point-In-Time Count on Thursday, January 23rd. This is an annual count that takes place across the country, and it allows us to get a more accurate count of individuals in our area who are experiencing homelessness.
With the help of members, local non-profits, & volunteers, the coalition will set up at various locations, canvas the community, and count at local shelters.
This year, we’ll be overseeing the count in 3 counties; Lamar, Red River, & Titus. Volunteers and members who wish to assist with the point-in-time count, will need to complete a training. Training will take place on Friday, January 3rd at 3 pm, via zoom. To sign up, email hrctexas.ed@gmail.com no later than January 2nd.
“All are welcome to help. The more volunteers we have sign up, the more accurate our count will be this year.” ~ Shelly Braziel
