Five Prairiland High School students will graduate with both a Phlebotomy Certificate and a Patient Care Technician certification after successfully completing 30 venipunctures.
The opportunity for Kylie Fox, Leland Jones, Brynlee Penwell, Tenley Smith, and Grier Wood—students in Prairiland High School’s Health Science program—was made possible through the district’s various Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
“Thank you to all the faculty members, family members, and friends who were willing to be ‘pin cushions,’” said Prairiland ISD.
Through Prairiland High School’s CTE programs, students are gaining real-world training and certifications that make them more employable after graduation.
“Thank you, Mrs. Evers and Mrs. Parsons, for taking the time to help make our students more successful.”
