Dr. Stephen Benson, newly named ninth president of Paris Junior College, will be celebrating Independence Day and his fifth week on the job as Grand Marshall in the Celebrate America July 4 parade in Paris, Texas.
Here he is shown with the car he’ll be using and car owner Michael Rhodes.
The parade begins at 10 a.m., departing from the north parking lot of the Lamar County Courthouse, heading south to the Downtown Square then east on Clarksville St.
The parade route continues north on 12th Street, then returns westward on Lamar Ave.
