Even after the 2024–2025 Paris Junior College (PJC) baseball season wrapped up, two standout players – brothers Dylan and Gavyn Schlotterback of Lakeway, Texas – continue to make headlines with prestigious post-season honors.
Dylan Schlotterback, already named the NJCAA Region XIV North Player of the Year, AllConference, and All-Region, has now earned national recognition as a Second Team NJCAA Division I All-American, an honor bestowed by both the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
In addition, Dylan was awarded the Rawlings/ABCA Gold Glove Award for third base, recognizing him as the best defensive player at his position nationwide.
Only one player per position receives this award annually.
“The awards are a great honor to receive,” said Dylan Schlotterback. “But what I’m most thankful for is Coach [Clay] Cox and Coach [Boone] Privette’s belief in me, and the opportunity to keep playing the game I love. I really enjoyed my time at PJC, and I know I left there a better ball player and a better man.”
Gavyn Schlotterback, Dylan’s younger brother, was recognized as the NJCAA National TwoWay Player of the Year by the Juco Baseball Blog for his versatility as both a catcher and a pitcher.
Both brothers will continue their baseball careers at the University of Kansas, where they will play for the Jayhawks in the Big 12 Conference starting this fall.
