Saturday, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Reno Parks and Trail Committee is offering up a chance for event-goers to search for treasure as its Pirate Community Scavenger Hunt is set for Reno Rail Trail.
The Pirate Community Scavenger Hunt will run alongside Reno Rail Trail between Airport and Keywest roads. A list of pirate items will be posted on Reno Parks and Trail Committee’s Facebook page here.
The parks and trail committee asks participants to not remove the scavenger hunt items.
“As you locate the items, take pictures and send them to our FB page,” Reno Parks and Trail Committee said on its social media. “We would like to see your smiling faces with selfies showing the items but please remember, no trespassing. Please remain on the trail.”
The first five boys and the first five girls to find all items and have them posted on Reno Parks and Trail Committee’s Facebook page will win a prize. The committee said if not all items are found, then those in each group with the highest points will win. Pirate Community Scavenger Hunt winners will be announced on Reno Parks and Trail Committee’s Facebook page here, and prizes will be available for pickup on Monday at Reno City Hall, 160 Blackburn Street in Reno.
