The SkillsUSA team from Paris High School’s Career & Technology Education Department recently brought home awards from the SkillsUSA Texas State Leadership and Skills Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas. The students competed in multiple contests as individuals and teams.
In the Mobile Robotics competition, Preston Thompson earned a bronze medal in the Technical Test. The team of Preston Thompson, Houston Rogers, and Mylee Anderson earned a Superior Rating with a blue ribbon in Engineering Related Design Chapter Job Exhibit. These students are advised by Jodi Andoe.
In Photography, Yaremi Godinez and Nevaeh Rhodes earned a Superior rating in the Job Exhibits contest. Also competing at State for Photography were Lindsey Holleman and Tatianna Coleman. Both placed first and second, respectively, at District and received their awards at the state conference. Jennifer Cook is their advisor.
In Automotive tool ID Jonathan Kelley qualified for state with a top ten finish at District. Jim Hyatt is his advisor.
