PHS Chorale Students Earn Medals at State

Paris High Chorale students returned from the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest in Pflugerville over the Memorial Day weekend with 3 gold and 11 silver medals for their performances.

Receiving gold medals for superior ratings were seniors Jake Freelen, Molly Law, and Averi McFadden.  Students earning silver medals for excellent ratings were seniors Javian Dabbs, Elizabeth Frazier, Jessica Ibarra, Yessica Ramirez, Christiana Swindle; juniors Nick Leija II and Rhea Tabora; and sophomores Skyler Bryan, Rowan Burns, Isabella Garrard, Jared Posey.

Three students received good ratings: junior Nicholas Reed and sophomores Ariana Epperson and Ben Ruthart.

The 17 Chorale students also took a tour of the Capitol while in the Austin area.  The PHS choir director is Jan Blize and accompanist is Dottie Billman.  Other members of the entourage were Tina Freelen, Angela, and Richard Calvin.
