Peoples Bank recently announced the promotion of two employees to new roles within the bank.

In making the announcement President Terry L. Christian said “Peoples Bank is proud to recognize Kim Bills and Leeann Tucker for the outstanding contributions they make to our team. Their drive to grow and take on new responsibilities is precisely why they’ve been promoted into these new roles. We appreciate Kim and Leeann and look forward to their continued development and contribution to our team in the years to come.”

Bills was recently promoted to Teller Supervisor of the Bank’s Lamar & Collegiate location. She began her career with Peoples Bank over 6 years ago as a Part-Time Teller and has progressed through the ranks of Full Time Teller and Commercial Teller to her current Supervisor position. Bills received her Associate’s Degree from Paris Junior College and later studied Business Administration at Texas A&M Commerce. Three times during her tenure Bills has been named as the Peoples Bank Employee of the Month. Away from the bank Bills stays busy keeping up with her athletic 10-year-old son Kedan.

Tucker has been recognized with a promotion to Head Teller at the Peoples Bank branch inside the Walmart Supercenter. She had over 7 years’ prior banking experience before joining the Peoples Bank team in 2014. Since then she’s held a number of roles including Customer Service Representative, Teller, Trainer and now Head Teller. Tucker has been recognized three times as the Peoples Bank Employee of the Month, and once as Employee of the Year. A graduate of Detroit High School, Leeann, and her husband Junior have three sons- Jacob (13), Chase (6) and Bryson (2).

Peoples Bank was formed in 1988 when a group of successful local businessmen acquired the assets and liabilities of First National Bank in Bogata, Texas from the FDIC. Ronald E. Abbott became the Bank’s first CEO, a role he proudly holds still today. In 1990, the Bank moved its home office to Paris’ historical Downtown Plaza, and Terry L. Christian came onboard as President. Responding to the Bank’s rapid growth, the Lamar Avenue Branch was later opened, providing customers with the convenience of a drive-thru facility and a 24-hour automated teller machine (ATM). Peoples Bank then broke the mold of traditional style banking by opening a branch inside the Paris Walmart Supercenter. The Lamar Avenue location was renovated and expanded in 2009, and then again in 2016, providing Peoples Bank customers with a beautiful state-of-the-art facility. Peoples Bank is proud of its longstanding service to the Paris community, and through personalized service, innovative products, and response to ever-changing market conditions, strives to establish customers for life. “People Helping People” is more than just our motto; it’s the way we do business. Member FDIC.
