Patsy Patrein (Wilkerson) Wynn passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Paris Regional Health. Patsy, known to most as Pat or P. W., was born February 10, 1948, to Charley (Bill) and Clara Tucker Wilkerson in Paris, Texas.
Patsy attended Paris High School and received her GED and attended Paris Junior College. She had various jobs during her career. She worked at Hollywood Vassarette, in Physical Therapy at McCuistion Hospital, at a florist, as a phlebotomist at a lab, and even had a Commercial Driver’s License and drove a truck with her husband, W. D. Wynn. She spent most of her career as a Medical Assistant for Dr. E. Sidney White. Patsy loved spending time with her family, exploring new places, fishing, dancing, puzzles and playing Mahjong. She had a special interest in the unexplained, and loved watching shows on the History Channel. She was an accomplished seamstress and an excellent cook. She was a wonderful wife and mother to her children who both considered her their best friend.
Patsy had battled both breast cancer and colon cancer and survived both for 17 years. She was a strong, determined and independent woman. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Clara Wilkerson; a sister, JoAnn Taylor Dollins and husband Jim Taylor; a brother, Charles Wilkerson and wife Margaret; stepson Christopher Wynn; father-in-law, S. D. Wynn; mother-in-law Jean Wynn; brothers-in-law, Greg Wynn and Mark Jones; brother-in-law, Mack Stephens and granddaughter, Terra Moore.
She is survived by her husband, W. D. Wynn and her two children, Howard Lee (Sonny) Sikes Jr. and wife Sheila, and Laura Sikes Williams and husband Ricky; sister, Girttie Stephens; grandchildren Heather LaRue and husband Daniel; Matthew Sikes and wife Cheryl; Josh Williams and wife Holly; Brittany Davidson, Angel Davidson and Jake Wynn. Great grandchildren Lawson and Blakely LaRue; Chris Pina and wife Leslie; Lyla Reed and great great grandchild, Selini; stepsons Wesley Buster and Cody Sanders and families; sister-in-law, Debbie Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be Monday, November 4, 2024, from 5 – 7 pm at Bright Holland Funeral Home Chapel, 2601 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas. A cemetery service will occur Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery Chapel,
Evergreen Cemetery, 560 Evergreen Street, Paris, Texas 75460, with Rev. Gregory Chambers officiating.
