On Sept. 5, Officers learned the location of Cody Liles Porter (39) of Paris, a wanted felon. Liles was located in the 200 block of S. Collegiate, hiding in a closet of the residence. He was arrested without a struggle. The arrest stemmed from a June 2025 incident in which Porter and other suspects were implicated in the theft of copper from an abandoned structure in the 800 block of Clarksville. Porter was booked without incident.
On Sept. 7, Officers responded to a security check in the 1800 block of Cedar. Information advised that there was a large crowd at the residence. Upon arrival officers met Richard Kelley Canella (35) who was delusional and exhibited signs of narcotics use. Officers searched Canella and found methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription medications on his person. Canella was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. He was processed without incident.
Officers made 60 traffic stops, 1 adult arrest, and answered 142 calls for service during this reporting period.
